The Tuftonboro Community Solar Project Committee is hosting an open house to discuss a grant proposal for a 45 KW solar array that it has submitted for funding to the NH Public Utilities Commission. The open house will be on Monday, April 30, 2018 from 6:30-8:00 PM at the Tuftonboro Central Fire Station on Middle Road (Route 109A). The purpose of the solar project is to provide direct electric assistance to low and moderate income families in our community. The Committee will explain the grant proposal and seeks to get public input on the many alternatives available for the siting of the array. Project lead, Douglas Smithwood, and Committee members will outline the scope and benefits of this exciting and forward looking endeavor. Part of the meeting will include an outside viewing and discussion of alternative siting locations on and around the fire station (please dress accordingly). The Committee is especially hopeful that residents and members of the community will attend and provide input and feedback on this project.
