Can you notarize a document for me?

We sure can!  The Town Clerk is a Notary and a Justice of the Peace. 
The Administrative Assistant, Office Assistant, Tax Collector and Deputy Town Clerk are also Notaries.

Dog License Information   

Dogs must be licensed by April 30

Spayed and neutered dogs .................. $   7.00

Be sure to bring your dog's Rabies certificate with you!

Motor Vehicle Registration Information

bulletThe Town Clerk's Office is an Authorized Motor Vehicle Municipal Agent. 
For your convenience, registrations are issued here. 
There is an additional $ 2.50 fee per registration.
[RSA 261:74-d]

bullet As of August 1, 2002: The State has increased motor vehicle registration fees by fifty cents a month or $ 6.00 a year.


bulletTitle Information: If you are getting a New Hampshire title for a new-to-you vehicle you MUST have a valid New Hampshire or out of state title turned over to you with the assignment on the back of the title filled out and SIGNED. 

If two people are to be on the title, BOTH MUST SIGN THE NEW TITLE APPLICATION. If both of you cannot be present to do this, a NOTARIZED POWER OF ATTORNEY must be presented, authorizing someone else to sign for the new title.

If you purchase a vehicle from a New Hampshire dealer, the dealer will prepare the new title application for you. (We call it the "blue sheet".)

bulletIf you are doing a TRANSFER of your plate to the new vehicle, please bring in your CURRENT REGISTRATION. This must be provided to the State to complete the transfer.

What vehicles are required to be titled?

bulletVehicles 15 years of age or newer.
bulletTruck-tractors and trucks with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of 18,001 pounds or greater, regardless of age.
bulletTrailers 15 years of age or newer with a GVW of 3,001 pounds or greater.
bulletAntique vehicles 26 years of age or older, upon request.

bulletProvide a bill of sale and a properly filled out Verification of Vehicle Identification (TDMV 19a).
