3. If you qualify as a Tuftonboro resident, you may complete a Pistol Permit Application, available at the Police Department. This form must be completely and truthfully filled out. False statements will be grounds for denial and may result in criminal prosecution.

5. Our Processing Procedure:
Once your application has been received, we will complete a record check for security purposes. This includes our contacting Police and other agencies, as well as your list of references, in order to determine if there is any reason you should not receive a Pistol Permit.
Then, the Chief of Police must review this information and make his determination. This process typically takes 7 to 10 days.
If your application is approved, we will contact you to schedule a time for you to come in and pick up your License. At that time, you will need to sign your License, one copy of which we will keep on file
6. Administrative Fee:
The fee for each Resident Pistol/Revolver License is $10. Payment is due prior to receipt of your approved License. The permit is valid for 4 years.
