OLD BUSINESS:

February 19, 2007 minutes were approved with motion made by Gary Chehames; 2nd by Win Wood.

Lake Host  Project: Mary Ann Murray from the Rec. Department did not attend. She would like approval or help from the Conservation Commission.  Mike Phelps will talk to her about it.

Libby Park:  being reviewed by attorney after being reviewed by Selectmen.

Easement Monitoring:  Bently Parkhurst files have been sent to us.  All easemenht information will be organized into a notebook.

Melvin River in Moultoboro:  Win Wood feels the town line between Tuftonboro & Moultonboro needs to be defined.  Win Wood feels we should talk to the selectmen of Moultonboro. Bill Stockman has walked the line previously & he feels the line is straight.  Bill Stockman feels the two town conservation commissions should get together because this property concerns both towns.  Win Wood will talk with Judy on Moultonboro’s conservation commission.

Center Harbor C.C. designated wetlands:  Dawn Evans will call Center Harbor.  Bill Stockman will talk to Belknap County Conservation Commission and invite John Hodgedon to come and speak to us about prime wetlands.

Holistic approach to subdivisions: Jerry Light is to get more information to present later.

 

NEW BUSINESS:

Natural Heritage has a new data check tool

Workshop at the town house on Thursday, March 29, 2007 5-7PM

LPPC meeting at the Whittier House is on global warming.

March 27-28, 2007. Planning at Waters Edge by UNHC Northwood.

Wolfeboro Sewage Plant: The Conservation Committee will work on forming a committee; will ask Chip Albee to come and talk with the CC; will put a notice on the Town web page looking for qualified people to be on the committee; will contact DES to talk about their concerns; will talk to Wolfeboro; will check on aquifers and will create a working meeting to organize and plan their next steps.

DES workshop is March 21, 2007. Barbara Garabedian, Win Wood, Gary Chehames and Mike Phelps will attend the workshop.

There is grant money available for conservation projects.  The CC will get an application and make contact.
