Meeting Minutes June 18, 2007
Meeting began at 7:43pm.
Present: Mike Phelps, Win Wood, Dave Durnam , Barbara Garabedian
Reviewed draft of April 16 meeting that was cancelled by flooding, voted to place the record on file as informational notation in the minutes book.
March and May 21 minutes accepted.
Discussion re: calling Ted Wright to find out if he is
planning to continue on the board, given his absence over the last few months. Decided to contact him to clarify.

Discussion
Win Wood brought in an article about the frog tunnel under
the Rt.111 bypass- it is a work in progress; nobody has seen frogs using it
yet.
Win Wood asked if we could we hold talks on conservation for
kids; Barbara Garabedian suggested nature walks and bike trails; discussion re:
presenting educational programs.
Concerns about Melvin River voiced
When emergency repair done on dam, left large sand bar down
river. Mike sent letter to DES; DES is putting letter in file.
Re: Libby Park easement- waiting for Mrs. Davies to meet
with Selectmen.
Nothing on Moultonboro
Mike Phelps: $15,079 available in budget for conservation
property purchases.
Win Wood discussed concerns re: environmental assessment of
Wolfeboro Effluent Project. Engineers have presented a study which claims no
significant impact. Win has written a letter to be submitted to the Granite
State News, and requests comments. If everyone agrees, it will be signed from
“the Conservation Commission”. Letter will be emailed to all members, requesting
comment within a week (June 29?); suggestion made to add consideration of
adjacent aquifer and small brook.
