It was suggested that Jerry Light be made a regular member, rather than alternate. TCC will send a letter to the Selectmen, requesting the appointment. Light will no longer be out of town for extended periods of time, so will be available for meetings. After Chehames looks into the rules of procedure, Light will be appointed full member at the next meeting
Phelps has been unable to contact the Browers regarding a conservation easement and/or purchase of their land. Evans will contact Don MacBride, who may know how to reach them. An appraisal of the conservation value of $200,000 needs to be done. There are 23 acres wetlands, 51 acres total. The Wolfeboro-Tuftonboro Land Bank can pay for appraisal, but requires a commitment letter from the owners first.
Commissioners worked on a letter of concern to the DES regarding the granting of Wolfeboro's permit to begin the WWTF upgrade.
Evans told the TCC that Jake's permit application for his birdwatching station on Copp's Pond has not yet been approved.
Phelps presented a
letter drafted to environmental groups, as well as the TCC Town Report,
concerning the Wolfeboro Effluent Facility Upgrade and its potential effects on

The draft of the Town Report was reviewed and amended.

The TCC discussed the advertisement to be sent in to the Granite State News; commissioners made suggestions and additions to the draft. It was suggested that the public be encouraged to test their wells, and send results to the TCC; Steve Truchon could provide a list of contaminants to be tested for. Photographs of wetlands areas could be taken, to be compared with later photos. Chehames would like to get this ad published in late February. Evans suggested having water testing kits info at the town meeting. Wood will contact the state to get copies of applications for testing kits.

The draft of Phelps’ letter was reviewed and amended. Wood suggested the TCC send a copy to the NH Lakes Association.
Steven Walker wants to get together with TCC for monitoring of town property. He will likely want to do this during a work day; Evans will coordinate times.
Evans discussed Jacob’s project. Due to a Boy Scout rule, he must earn the money for the project, rather than soliciting funds; $1500 is needed. Evans suggested a display at Town Meeting to show towns people what is involved in building the bird watching stand.
Evans suggested that
PlanNH be asked to help on the Gould property. $2,500 would be required to run
a Charrette, a 2 day meeting generally held from Friday to
The Tuftonboro Association will be going to the Selectmen’s meeting on January 28 with concerns that the Selectmen are not being proactive about the WWTF upgrade situation.
