The Town of Tuftonboro, located on the shores of central New Hampshire's Lake Winnipesaukee, covers an area of  approximately 44 square miles.

The Town of Tuftonboro includes the communities of: 

Tuftonboro Central School, Kingswood Middle School and Kingswood High School provide an excellent educational foundation for our young people and the Tuftonboro Free Library is a great resource for all of us.

Our community attempts to provide people of all ages with plenty of events to keep our social calendars full.  If you prefer outdoor activities, there are lots of opportunities for recreational fun in Tuftonboro during all seasons.

Our most recent data indicates that there are 2,148 year-round residents, up from 1,911 residents in 1998.  However, we see a large increase in our population due to seasonal residents and visitors.
