Selectmen present:
Selectmen reviewed mail, which included: Building Permits for Tony & Rosalie Triolo, Raymond Graham, Mary Alice Marriot Hatch; Letter from Robinette re: settlement of BTLA appeal; Letter from town counsel re: representation in Donovan case; Libby Park property Fiduciary Deed and draft of Snowmobile Agreement; NHDES re: Marriott application; Wetlands & Non-site Specific Permit for Farrell; Letters from Chafee and Trayers re: proposed cell phone tower; Boundary Adjustments Plan for Hewitt and Franks; Parks & Rec 3/5 agenda and 2/5 meeting minutes; ZBA Notice of Hearing on 3/20 re: Drowne, Marriott; Meredith ZBA Notice of Hearing 3/8; GWRSD School Board Voter information; Property Transfer from Melvin & Ramona Zarinsky to Thomas & Olga Perry; Conservation Commission 1/15 meeting minutes; Notice of Healthtrust benefit education scheduled for 3/28; Newspaper article re: police department survey to rate performance; Legislative Bulletin #10; Response from Betsey Patten re: Boat registrations.

At approximately 9:00 am Chairman Albee called the meeting to order. The first order of business was review of the 2/26/07 meeting minutes. Selectman Weeks and Chairman Albee corrected a couple of typographical errors. Selectman Weeks made a motion to approve as corrected. Chairman Albee seconded the motion with all in favor.
Town Administrator
ü John Simms advised that the annual roadside cleanup would be held on April 21st. Cassella has donated the dumpster that will be placed in the town office parking lot.
ü The energy audit is scheduled for Friday March 9th starting out at the town office at 9:30 am and then continues to all other town buildings.
ü Bill Johnstone at NH Electric Coop was contacted to order a Freeze Alarm for the town house.
ü A calendar update was e-mailed to the selectmen.

Spoke to Town Counsel regarding the
ü Spoke to Ed Bergeron & NHDOT regarding the NHDOT program to encourage children to walk or bike to school. The grant money, $1 million dollars per year up to 5 years, would provide money for infrastructure improvements and is 100% federally funded. Request for Proposal (RFP) will be out in May.
ü A compost bin and pail have been ordered and should be here within the week.
ü David Barnes reviewed and approved the bond hearing minutes.
ü Requested website maintenance contracts from Cloud9 and Village Web Design for long term.
ü The MRI assessing contract has been revised.
Selectman Weeks reported she had been in contact with town counsel and that he had received the revised deed from the Sargent’s attorney. Attorney Sullivan will make the requested changes and send back the deed to their attorney.
At approximately 9:10 Selectmen met with Laura and Jim Ames
regarding Wolfeboro warrant article #7 regarding effluent disposal. Ms. Ames was very concerned about this project

ü Chief Shagoury said he looked into the warrant article that Tilton had prepared to create a special revenue fund. A percentage of the departments detail revenue would be put into a separate account for use by the department. Chief Shagoury felt that Tuftonboro did not have a large enough pool of money to fund a special revenue account. Chairman Albee said that it might be something the Capital Improvement Committee could look at.
ü A pandemic meeting is scheduled for March 20th from 9 am to 1 pm, which includes a table top exercise. A representative of the board is encouraged to attend.
ü The candidate for the 4th officer withdrew from the polygraph. Chief Shagoury will contact the second candidate. Chairman Albee said that the new vehicle should not be purchased unless there is a 4th officer in place. Selectman Weeks said that the department is on a 2-year cycle to replace cruisers, having the 4th officer is not the only reason to get a new vehicle. The Code Officer is now using one of the old cruisers and that should also be taken into consideration.
ü Chief Shagoury is working with Chief Thompson and school personnel to update a school safety plan.
ü Chairman Albee questioned the chief on the call log status. Chief Shagoury said it is a time issue especially now that Lisa has left.
ü Six applications have been received for the police administrative assistant position. Selectmen said that interviews should be scheduled.

The Selectmen discussed the Laase BTLA appeal. Selectman Weeks and Stockman decided that the case should be settled since it would cost more to fight it than to grant the abatement. The Laases were contacted on Friday because time was short for MRI to provide documentation to the BTLA.
