Selectman Weeks presented a sample of the new lights for the flagpole. The lights will sit on a 20-inch post in the ground. Selectmen approved the installation of the two new lights as soon as the ground is ready.
Selectmen went over the plans for the new renovations at the Town House. Selectman Weeks will call Wes Flierl to go over some questions regarding the plan. A bid document should be ready for review next week.
At approximately 3:10 Selectmen met with Bill Donovan. Mr. Donovan is very concerned about work being done on an abutting property, which he has heard will be a new development. Many of the stonewalls have already been removed from the property, some of which are boundary walls. This has already been referred to the Police Department. The Selectmen advised that a property owner could build a road on their property but that they are taking a very big risk without proper approvals and permits. Property owners may also timber the property with again filing the proper permits (Intent to Cut) with the Town. There has been no application to the Planning Board for approval of a housing development or subdivision at this time.
At approximately 3:20 Selectmen met with Ann Hackl regarding the Cheney Easement document. Some of the issues were addressed such as clarification and consistency of organizations when referred to. Chairman Stockman can get some of the documents that are referenced but there are many others. Copies of these documents should be made and put in a folder marked Cheney Farm Easement. The actual meat of the document will be addressed next week. Ms. Hackl will get the clarifications on the different organizations.
Selectmen approved and signed the following:
The Selectmen did not sign the Land Use Change Tax form for Gale. The current market value of the property is to be verified.
Jay Poulin is scheduled to attend the 4/11/05 meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:40 pm.
Respectfully Submitted,
