At approximately 2:30, Selectman Albee made a motion to go into non-public session pursuant to RSA 91-A: 3 II (c) to discuss a legal landfill issue. Selectman Weeks seconded the motion. Roll call: Chairman Stockman – yes, Selectman Albee – yes, Selectman Weeks – yes.

At approximately 3:05 Selectmen met with Ann Hackl regarding the most current changes on the Cheney Farm Easement. Steve Hundley of the Farmland Protection Plan sent the document to Ms. Hackl who handed out copies to the Selectmen and then briefly went over the changes. It did not appear to Ms. Hackl to be anything major. Mr. Hundley thought the requirement for liability insurance could be waived for Mr. Cheney but would bind future owners of the property. The Selectmen will look the document over and discuss at a later date. Copies will also be given to Wayne Cheney and George Walker for review.

At approximately 3:25 Selectmen met with Fire Chief Adam Thompson. Chief Thompson reported 56 fire, 18 medical and 8 service calls so far this year. The new engine is in service and is housed at the Mirror Lake station. It has already been used at a fire in Wolfeboro. There are a couple of minor fixes to be done that the manufacturer is taking care of. Chief Thompson also reported that firefighter Megan Mandigo has resigned from the department as she has moved away. Chief Thompson recommended Michael Tenney as a new firefighter. Everyone then proceeded outside to view the new engine.

Selectmen approved and signed the Intent to Cut for Jean Whitten.

Selectman Weeks made a motion to sign the Letter of Commitment to participate in the Lakes Region Household Hazardous Product Collection Program. Seconded by Selectman Albee with all in favor.

Selectmen discussed the request for reimbursement for towing expenses by Kim Wilsie. The request was denied.

Joe Kowalski voiced his opinion regarding the new time for the Selectmen’s meeting. He thought it should be more convenient for residents to attend. The Selectmen will wait to see how the new time works out.

Chairman Stockman brought up the issue of maintenance projects that were scheduled for this year. The new toilets at the Town office have been installed. Suggestions for painting the Town Office will be discussed next week and an electrician is needed for the new lights for the flagpole.

Selectmen also discussed the next step for the Public Safety Building. It was agreed a professional with experience in municipal buildings was needed to determine space requirements.

The meeting was adjourned at 4:05 pm.

Respectfully Submitted,

Carolyn Sundquist
