Chairman Weeks said she would call the bidders for the compactor to set up a meeting at the Transfer Station.
Selectmen discussed the Waste Management contract with Joe Kowalski. It needs a clause, which states that the Town reserves the right to recycle. The contract should also be for three years. Mr. Kowalski said he would like to request a formal quote from Casela and compare the two. No decision will be made until that time.
The disposal of propane tanks was brought up and the Selectmen stated again that there would be no charge for the small tanks but would charge $30.00 for the larger ones.
A public notice will be placed in the next two editions of the GSN for a full-time Transfer Station Attendant.
Selectman Albee asked if the Transfer Station had a crusher for the cans. Mr. Kowalski advised that he has not pursued that because of the additional expenses proposed this year.
