Selectman Albee questioned the tonnage projected to the end of the year for MSW and C&D in the Transfer Station budget. Joe Kowalski said that there has been increased activity this year and wanted to make sure there was enough money appropriated for next year. Selectman Albee and Mr. Kowalski will meet and go over the numbers.

Barbara Wood questioned the proposed display at the Town House on Election Day for the Public Safety Needs Assessment. Chairman Weeks advised it would be comprised of 3 or 4 pictures of the existing town facilities on display in the Selectmen’s room along with 1 or 2 copies of the report.

Chairman Weeks spoke to architect Wes Flierl regarding the bathrooms becoming ADA compliant at the Town House. Mr. Flierl said he does not think the town needs to put a ramp at the back door. It was also mentioned that the kitchen door could be eliminated, as it cannot be made ADA compliant. More investigation will be done and Selectmen will discuss on Tuesday.

The seeding of the landfill was mentioned. The Selectmen would like to be able to sign off on the project so that the state reimbursement could be received this year. The Selectmen will visit the site.

At approximately 7:05 Selectmen met with Road Agent Steve Hunter. Mr. Hunter said that his budget should not change for next year. There is still 350 feet of Dame Road to complete. County Road should be done next year and possibly Harvest Lane. Mr. Hunter would also like to do more aprons next year. The parking lot at the Town House will be regraded before Election Day. Selectman Stockman suggested a boundary line adjustment with an abutter to make the property more useable. Selectman Stockman will pursue this.

At approximately 7:25 Selectmen met with Lane Evans. Mr. Evans on behalf of Boy Scout Troop 165 requested the use the Town House for weekly troop meetings. The 22- member troop meets on Wednesdays. The meetings are run by the scouts and are usually prep meetings for outdoor activities. In return for the use of the building the scouts are willing to do community service. They would also like to be able to hang some pictures and store flags. The scouts have their own insurance. Chairman Weeks felt that the building was being improved and that it should be used more and that this was an appropriate use. Selectman Stockman and Selectman Albee agreed. The Boy Scouts will be able to start using the building mid-November.

Mr. Evans also said that the scouts would like to get a piece of property that they could lease and put a building on. Mr. Evans said that the Tamworth troop has a 3-year, no charge, renewable lease. Chairman Weeks directed Mr. Evans to Ann Hackl of the Conservation Commission for information on town owned properties.
