Lt. Joseph busy. Chief Thompson spoke to a representative from the Moultonborough Public Safety Committee. The committee had 9 members and he felt a better number would be 5-7 members. So far Bob Wood and Joe Kowalski have volunteered to be on the Tuftonboro Committee with several other people to be approached. Selectman Stockman had suggested a site on Union Wharf Road for the Chief to check out. The Department took possession of the generator today. The Chief reported that it would not be possible to do the electrical work this year as the bids are for more money than was expected. Chief Thompson suggested purchasing the materials this year and then funding the installation next year. Selectmen approved the purchase of the materials through the electrician selected to do the job. The generator will be stored at the Melvin station. The Selectmen thanked Chief Thompson for his time.
Selectman Weeks advised that the skating rink area has been graded and sanded and that Bill Antonucci is looking for volunteers on Saturday at 10am to install the rink. The job was larger than anticipated so there may need to be some money expended. Mr. McWhirter donated his time and equipment but needed additional help and Fred Sargent donated the sand.
Selectman Weeks met with Wes Flierl today regarding the work to be done at the Town House to be ADA compliant for elections. Mr. Flierl said he was happy with a verbal agreement and would not need a retainer.
